10 Things I Hope to do in 2009

02Jan09
  1. Read through the Bible in Spanish (again).
  2. Memorize (or re-memorize) a passage of Scripture each month.
  3. Choose a mission agency.
  4. Read more books.
  5. Go back to Colombia on a short-term trip.
  6. Take Perspectives on the World Christian Movement.
  7. Participate in MTW’s Advanced Medical Leadership Training.
  8. Stay in touch (with friends, family, those who are interested in missions, those who’ve expressed an interest in my call to missions, etc.).
  9. Find more time to play the piano.
  10. Eat more chocolate. :-)

  1. 1 You Know Who

Wow! We’re impressed! You really stick to your goals, don’t you?

Congratulations to our favorite eldest sister!

Maybe we can help a bit with that last goal?

Susanna, I was recently given a devotional called Jesus Calling by Sarah Young. She and her husband have served with MTW in Japan, Atlanta (no surprise) and Australia. It has no relationship to anything you are doing, but its great devotions from a missionary/counselor.
I’m in on the chocolate too.
Give my love to your mom.

  3. Sounds like 2009 will be an amazing year. You have some major life decisions to make in this year. 1st off, the Perspectives course (which was amazing) is now revised and updated. The new curriculum has more from non-Western leaders, more on globalization/urbanization and does a better job of hitting some key strategy topics (insider movements).

I am connected to some awesome ministries doing great things in unreached people groups. Let me know some of your interests & skills and I’ll give you my recommendations of agencies to check out.

Thanks for stopping by, Adam. I’m really excited about the course – hoping to learn TONS. :-) Happy New Year!

Thanks, Auntie Jan! I’ll see if I can find the book in the library… Hope you and all yours have had a wonderful season! Mom says hi back. :-)
